Quinte West OPP and firefighters along with Hastings-Quinte paramedics responded to a single vehicle rollover just after 6:00 a.m.
The accident happened on Old Highway 2 near Bayside. The vehicle rolled several times ending up on a front lawn.
A man in his 20s was trapped and was extricated by firefighters.
The driver was taken to Belleville General Hospital with serious injuries.
