A couple of members of the Belleville General Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors have teamed up to make a $50,000 donation to the foundation.
Board Rep Peter Knudsen and Director Bob Doyle combined to give the gift to the foundation’s $20 million “Be Well Campaign”.
The donation comes as the Quinte Region sees a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases, with Belleville General Hospital’s regional intensive care unit on standby to care for patients there as needed.
Knudsen and Doyle hope their donation will spur more members of the community to give to the foundation, with the money collected used to buy priority medical equipment and keep the hospital running effectively.
