A person from Greater Napanee, Ontario is in OPP custody following a violent dispute at a residence Wednesday morning.
Just before 10:00 a.m. on March 24, 2021 members of the OPP’s Lennox and Addington (L&A) County detachment and the East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) responded to a 911 call regarding a dispute at a residence on the 2000 block of County Road 8.
The information provided to 911 operators was that a person was armed with an edged weapon inside the house and that other occupants had fled.
Responding officers contained the residence and made contact with the suspect inside who exited the residence and surrendered to officers a short time later.
One occupant of the residence was transported to L&A County General Hospital by paramedics for treatment of minor injuries.

The accused remains in OPP custody and will appear virtually at a bail hearing later today in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee.
As the investigation into the incident continues, further charges are possible.
