A manhunt is underway in the Foxboro area at this hour.
OPP are asking people living around Foxboro to shelter in place and keep their doors locked as they search for a man that stabbed an OPP officer during a traffic stop around 1 a.m.
During the incident the suspect’s vehicle collided with a police cruiser.
The officer is being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
The assailant ran from the scene on foot.
OPP are looking for 26 year-old Charles “Chuck” Parkinson on an attempt murder charge.
Parkinson has ties to Prince Edward County and Brighton as well as Belleville.
