Despite the tenth annual Belleville Downtown Docfest having to be held entirely online this year because of COVID-19, the event proved at least as popular as the past in-person film festivals.
The virtual Docfest stretched over 10 days and came to a close Sunday.
The gala and the other 55 films and events were streamed online 6,000 times. It’s impossible to know how many people actually watched the films but it would be many times more than that.
In the two years previous, Docfest has averaged 5,000 in-person views.
