Two people were saved by Peterborough OPP early Sunday morning after going through the ice on Little Bald Lake north of Peterborough.
Just after midnight police were called by a person who said that they had gone through the ice with another person while riding an ATV.
The two people were successfully rescued from the water with assistance from Trent Lakes Fire Department and brought to a local hospital by Paramedics to be treated for severe hypothermia.
Police are reminding people that spring conditions are causing ice to thin and that it’s no longer safe to be on the ice.
