One man is facing assault charges after a domestic incident in Belleville Friday afternoon.
Belleville Police were called to the west end of the city at approximately 3:00 p.m. for reports of a domestic assault.
When they arrived, police spoke with a woman who said that a man had assaulted and threatened her.
After further investigation police arrested a 47-year-old man and charged him with assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and mischief.
The man was held for a bail hearing.
