The Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 401 east near the City of Kingston at 4:15 a.m. on March 13, 2021. One person involved is confirmed deceased and a 47-year-old male has been transported to hospital with serious injuries. OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) are on scene.
The deceased has been identified as Brady PERKINS, age 20, of the City of Kingston.
All lanes of Highway 401 have now been reopened at the scene and the four vehicles that were involved, a tractor trailer, an SUV, a pickup truck and a passenger car have been removed.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation. No further details to be released at this time.
