Porch pirates
On March 11, 2021 at 10:02 a.m., city police received a report of a theft in the Albert Street area. The victim reported receiving a confirmation from a photograph of merchandise which had been delivered to his home from a courier service. Upon returning to the home, the victim observed the property to be missing. Two packages containing Nintendo gaming systems and joy-sticks, red and blue in colour were missing. The value of the property is approximately $600. An investigation into the matter is continuing. Thefts
On March 11, 2021 at 10:29 a.m., police received a reported theft from a motor vehicle in the Bridge Street East area. The complainant advised police that some time between March 8 and March 11, unknown person(s) entered a vehicle, stealing a hunting knife and a brown leather purse. The glove-box within the vehicle had also been ransacked, and items strewn about the nearby property. On March 11, 2021 at 5:24 p.m., police received a reported theft from a common room at the Ramada by Wyndham on Bay Bridge Road. The complainant reported her back-pack was stolen from a meeting room.
