Firefighters are expected to be at the scene of a barn fire in Stirling-Rawdon into the evening.
Crews from halls one and two in Stirling-Rawdon, along with firefighters from Centre Hastings, have been battling the blaze on Sine Road since just before 1:00 p.m.
Stirling-Rawdon Fire Chief Derek Little tells Quinte News that the barn is full of hay and the fire has been “a bit of a handful to deal with”.
He says the flames have led to a couple of smaller grass fires at the scene as well and a pair of excavators are being used to try and move the straw around to allow firefighters to douse certain hot spots.
There have been no reports of any injures and Little says at this point, it’s too early to give a thought on what sparked the blaze, or potential damage costs.
