Quinte West OPP seized a pair of brass knuckles during a traffic stop Monday.
Officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 10 a.m. on County Road 40 south of the 401 in Quinte West.
According to police, when they approached the vehicle there was a man sleeping in the back seat.
While speaking with the man they discovered the brass knuckles and arrested 41-year-old Matthew Anakons of Quinte West.
Anakons was then charged with possession of an unauthorized weapon.
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 15.
