UPDATE @ 4:15 p.m.:
Quinte West OPP have vehicle that they reported as stolen earlier today.
The car was originally involved in an incident with police this past weekend, when it sped away from an attempted traffic stop on Sidney Street, just south of Hamilton Road.
Investigators found that the car had been stolen sometime late on Sunday night.
Then, early this afternoon, a passerby noticed the vhicle abandoned on Gazley Road, north of Preston Hill Road in Quinte West and recognized it from the media release.
The car is being examined by a forensics team before being returned to its owner.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone who might have further details can contact Quinte West OPP or Crimetsoppers.

Quinte West OPP are hoping the public can provide information after a stolen vehicle sped away from officers in Trenton last Sunday.
Police attempted to stop a car on Sidney Street near Hamilton Road shortly after 1 o’clock in the morning but the driver would not stop and the pursuit was stopped for public safety reasons.
After investigation officers learned the 2004 blue Subaru four-door sedan had been stolen not long before police attempted to stop it.
