The Belleville Police responded to 55 calls for service between 5 a.m. on March 8, 2021 and 5 a.m. on March 9, 2021.
PROJECT RENEWAL – Breach charges
On March 8, 2021, members of Project Renewal (Joint Forces Initiative with Belleville Police Service Intelligence and Street Crime and OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau) arrested 32-year-old Belleville resident David Ford. Ford was found breaching several conditions of a court imposed release.
Ford was charged with four counts of Failing to Comply with a Release Order and held pending a Show Cause Hearing on March 9, 2021.
Theft
On March 8, 2021 at 5:45 p.m., officers attended a business on Roy Blvd. in regards to a theft. The complainant reported that a drum mat, valued at $199 was stolen from the store. The suspect fled the area before police arrived.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On March 8, 2021 at 6:45 p.m., officers attended on Enterprise Dr. to investigate a car vs deer collision. There was damage to the vehicle but the deer was not located.
