The Belleville Police responded to 59 calls for service between 5 a.m. on March 7, 2021 and 5 a.m. on March 8, 2021.
Theft
On March 7, 2021 at 1:17 p.m., officers attended a business on North Front St. in regards to a stolen cell phone. The complainant reports that the phone was stolen while two suspects were in the store. One of the suspects was located on North Front St. The store owner decided that he did not want charges laid and police took no further action.
Disturbance
On March 7, 2021 at 3:32 p.m., police attended in front of a business on Bell Blvd. in regards to a fight. Police found two males fighting over a bike that both claimed ownership of. After some discussion both males went their separate ways without charges
Domestic Assault
On March 7, 2021, officers attended an address on North Park St. for a domestic dispute. Officers received information that the complainant’s ex-common law had assaulted and threatened her. The accused had also done some damage inside the residence. As a result, a 45-year-old from Cobourg was charged with two counts of assault, mischief and uttering threats. He was released on an undertaking with a court date of March 29, 2021. The victim suffered a minor injury.
