There are now a couple more clinic options for those on the high priority list to get their COVID-19 vaccinations.
In addition to the clinic ongoing at Loyalist College, officials with Quinte Health Care say they are expanding the clinic at Belleville General Hospital to now include those high priority members of the community who many not work within the hospital.
They include primary care staff, doctors, long term care staff and home care workers.
QHC says since launching the clinic last Thursday nearly 1000 doses of the vaccine have been given to frontline QHC staff and physicians, and an additional 550 appointments are booked for the coming days.
UPDATE: The clinic at QHC BGH will now include pharmacies (pharmacists and their high risk frontline staff specifically within the pharmacy area) and dentistry.
Again, this is for high risk front line staff with greater risk of exposure.
Anyone who has already booked in with a clinic through HPE Public Health doesn’t need to change the appointment as the QHC clinic is meant to support ongoing public health clinics to help vaccinate local health care workers as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, high priority health care workers and residents can also make appointments to get vaccinated in Prince Edward County, with a clinic being set up at the Prince Edward Community Centre in Picton.

While vaccines are slowly becoming more readily available, community members are still being asked to continue to follow public health protocols.
