As COVID-19 restrictions loosen in the region, Quinte’s Jr A hockey teams are preparing to battle each other once again.
The Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes have announced another eight game exhibition series to be played through the month of March, with games taking place in closed arenas, in both Wellington and Trenton.
The Golden Hawks beat the Dukes in the inaugural Hasty Ps Cup back in November, but both teams have made a number of roster moves since then, giving older players an opportunity to play regular season games elsewhere.
This series will be played with player development in mind, giving management on both teams a chance to evaluate players currently on the roster and look at what holes need to be filled ahead of the 2021/22 season, slated to start later this year.
