Prince Edward County council will look at strengthening its littering by-laws at its meeting Tuesday.
Due to an uptick in takeout food and other factors in 2020, littering in the county was far more prevalent according to a report.
The same report says 700 people identified littering as one of the biggest challenges in the county, related to tourism, in an online survey.
Clearer definitions on littering and more enforcement power for by-law officers as well as mandating anti-littering signage outside all drive-thru and take-out restaurants are identified in the report as solutions.
Council meets Tuesday at 7 p.m.
