A Belleville man is facing assault charges after an incident in Belleville’s east end Saturday.
Belleville police were called to the east end of the city at approximately 8:10 a.m. for reports of an assault with a weapon.
When they arrived officers found an adult man with an injury to his head.
After further investigation, 66-year-old James Stewart was arrested and charged for assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
He was subsequently released with a court date set for March 18.
