Arrested on Warrant
On February 15, 2021 at 5:25 p.m., police observed a male in the area of Moira Street West who was wanted on a warrant out of Belleville. The warrant, for Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, was confirmed and officers arrested the 37-year-old Belleville male, Leo Quinlan. He was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he is being held for bail.
Arrested for Breaching Bail Conditions
On February 15, 2021 at 7:35 p.m., police, while on general patrol in the area of Octavia Street, observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. A traffic stop was initiated and as a result of an investigation, police found the driver to be suspended and breaching several release conditions. Police arrested the 25-year-old Belleville male, Adam Dunn, and transported him to the Belleville Police Service. Mr. Dunn was released on an Undertaking for Failing to Comply with Release Order (four counts) and issued two Part III Summons for Fail to Stop at Stop Sign and Driving While Under Suspension. He was given a court date of March 11, 2021 to face the charges.
Impaired Driver Charged – Over 80
On February 15, 2021 at 9:50 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Wallbridge Crescent. As a result of an investigation, Police learned that the driver of the motor vehicle had been drinking. The 28-year-old Belleville male, Ryan Hillier, was arrested for Impaired operation, over 80, and transported to the Belleville Police Service. Mr. Hillier was released on an undertaking and given a court date for March 11, 2021 to face the charge.
