The Ontario Government is chipping in almost $625,000 towards a new community hub being built in Bancroft.
MPP Daryl Kramp made that announcement Thursday, in support of the project which will see a 4,000 square foot, accessible, three-storey building.
The ground floor will include new space for the North Hastings Public Library, with 20 affordable housing units also being added.
The Federal Government has also invested almost $750,000 with the Town of Bancroft putting in about $500,000 towards the cost of the $1.8 million facility.
The hub will be built on municipal land, between Hastings Street South and Cleak Avenue.
The plan is to break ground in September or October, with a 16 month construction timeline.
