The kindness of members of 8 Wing/CFB Trenton has resulted in a fundraising record for the 2020 Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign.
Despite the challenges of fundraising during a pandemic, 8 Wing raised a record-breaking total donation of $155,471.14.
The 2020 campaign’s theme was “Local Love in a Global Crisis.”
The GCWCC is a charitable giving option developed exclusively for federal public servants and federal retirees.
Public servants can support their local United Way, or any other registered Canadian charity of their choosing.
Last year, 8 Wing/CFB Trenton raised $100,837.84 for the United Way Hastings & Prince Edward.
