An online fundraiser has begun to help a local family rebuild its farm, which was destroyed by fire last week.
A utility shop and cattle shed on the Sunset Farms and Cabins property was lost to the blaze on January 27 and while no cattle or people were injured, the Rabbie family did lose a number of critical pieces of equipment that helped them run the farm day-to-day.
A GoFundMe page is aiming to raise $10,000 to help cover the damage costs and to buy some new equipment and as has so far raised just over $7,000 as of Monday afternoon.
The family is hoping to rebuild as quickly as possible so they can be ready to start farming again in the spring.
