A Shannonville man has been sentenced to six months jail, in an OPP Joint Investigation.
On January 14, 2021 a Peterborough court sentenced William Bell to half a year behind bars, one year probation, a 10-year weapons prohibition, and a fine.
Bell, 55 at the time of the charges, was charged with two counts of luring a person under 16, and making sexually explicit material available to a child.
Two of the three charges were withdrawn, with the sentence made on one count of luring a person under 16.
The charges were laid as part of an investigation under Project Peacehaven, which resulted in 36 charges against eight people in the Peterborough area.
