UPDATE: OPP confirm one person pronounced dead at scene.
A serious head-on collision has resulted in the closure of a section of County Road 40 in Quinte West.
According to Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan, fthere was a serious head-on collision involving two vehicles Sunday morning.
Four people needed to be extricated from the vehicles with @ScanQuinte on Twitter confirming one patient with vital signs absent.
The OPP have closed off County Road 40 at the 401 and Telephone Road.
