A couple of new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Hastings Prince Edward today.
The HPE Public Health Dashboard is showing two new cases, both in Quinte West, along with two recoveries since Sunday’s report, leaving the number of active cases at 28.
One of the new cases has been linked to travel, while the transmission cause of the other case is pending.
There is now just one person in hospital and two outbreaks ongoing at local long term care homes.
The health unit also says it has vaccinated 79 people since doses began arriving in the region last week.
Meanwhile in Northumberland County, the HKPR Health Unit Dashboard is reporting 10 new cases there, since the last report on Saturday, with six recoveries and 44 currently active cases.
