Two Quinte West residents were charged after a single vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on Hamilton Road.
A pickup truck went into the ditch on Hamilton Road just north of Lester Road around 4:30 p.m.
OPP arrived on the scene to find the driver and passenger walking away from the vehicle.
Officers encountered another person who falsely indicated they had been the driver.
Thirty-one-year-old Casandra Wood is charged with Obstruct peace officer and Driving while under suspension.
Sixty-four-year-old John Harrison is charged with Obstruct peace officer and Permit unlicensed person to drive motor vehicle.
Both are scheduled to appear in court on February 25.
