There were seven new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported Saturday by Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.
Five of those were located in Belleville with the other two being in Quinte West.
Three people have since recovered so the number of active cases in the two counties sits at 27.
Meanwhile, another outbreak has been declared at a long term care home in the area.
One person has tested positive for the coronavirus at Crown Ridge LTC in Trenton. It’s not known if the infected person is a resident or a member of the staff.
An outbreak in a secure wing of Hastings Manor, also involving one person, continues.
In Northumberland County, nine new cases were reported Saturday. Four people have recovered leaving 40 active infections in Northumberland.
An outbreak at Maplewood Retirement Home in Brighton continues.
