Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting four new cases of COVID-19 today and three recoveries, with 23 active.
Two of the new cases are linked to close contact, one to travel and the other transmission cause is pending.
A new outbreak has also been declared at Crown Ridge Long Term Care Home in Quinte West, because of one case found there, while the outbreak at Hastings Manor continues.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 people is down to 9.5, which if the province wasn’t under the current stricter measures, would put our area back into the green zone of the original COVID-19 response framework.
Meanwhile, there was a bit of a bump in cases reported in Northumberland County today with 10 new infections and four recoveries, pushing up the number of active cases there to 35.
