The City of Belleville is opening its warming centre in the former Belleville Police headquarters on Thursday night.
With temperatures expected to drop below the -10 degree Celsius threshold, the warming centre will be open between 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 8:00 a.m. Friday, but beds and meals will not be provided.
Anyone who needs to use the warming centre will be screened for COVID-19 and must register before entering, while also wearing a mask and practising physical distancing once inside.
Visitors are asked to use the west entrance of the building at 93 Dundas Street East.
