Local businessman and Belleville city councillor Ryan Williams will carry the Conservative Party of Canada’s banner in Bay of Quinte riding in the next federal election.
Williams defeated the only other candidate in the running Shelby Kramp-Neumann for the nomination which was done virtually.
The results were announced Sunday night. There was a 98% turnout among eligible voters, members in good standing of the Bay of Quinte Conservative Association.
William’s campaign was dubbed “Quinte’s Decade” and focused on affordable housing, job creation to keep youth in the area, and being part of a government that increases
respect for the military, veterans, and seniors.
Both Williams and Kramp-Neumann congratulated each other for their campaigns and pledged to work to turn the Bay of Quinte riding blue in the next federal election which some believe may occur in the spring.
