A man and woman face various theft charges after an alleged break and enter at a former public school in northeast Belleville early yesterday (Monday)
Belleville police responded to the Hillcrest Public School property on West Street at 6:30 in the morning after someone called saying people were removing copper wire from inside the building which is now being demolished.
The caller also removed the keys from a U-Haul truck that the suspects apparently were using prior to the police arriving on scene.
Suspects fled the scene but police were given a description and they were taken into custody.
Charged are Rebecca Bagnell and Shane Dubeau, both of Belleville.
They have a December 3 court date.
