A well-known local politician will have his name on the ballot for a fourth time in the 2022 provincial election.
Not surprisingly, MPP and cabinet Minister Todd Smith was acclaimed Saturday morning as the Progressive Conservative candidate for Bay of Quinte riding in the next election.
Smith was first elected nine years ago as he defeated Liberal cabinet minister Leona Dombrowsky in a close election.
In a press release, Smith, who is now Minister of Children, Community, and Social Services, says he’s been part of some major accomplishments for his riding over the past few years but he wants to push some other projects through to completion in a third term.
