A 34-year-old Kingston woman is facing charges following a police chase in Belleville Friday night.
Belleville police were dispatched to a call regarding a driver, who appeared to be intoxicated, screeching her car tires on Roy Boulevard around 9:30 p.m.
An officer located the suspect on Roy Boulevard. The woman was alone in the vehicle with open alcohol in the front seat.
The officer attempted to conduct a roadside breath test, but the woman restarted her vehicle and took off, speeding away on Highway 62.
The police chase continued onto Highway 401 east. The officer pursued the suspect while awaiting for additional units to arrive.
Once more Belleville police units joined the pursuit, the woman was surrounded, bringing the vehicle to a safe stop on the 401.
The woman was extremely combative but taken into custody safely. Leanne Beck of Kingston is facing multiple charges including: flight from police, dangerous driving, impaired driving, refusing to provide a breath sample and operation of a motor vehicle while under suspension.
Beck is scheduled to answer to the charges on October 8 in Belleville court.
