Members from The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County Detachment arrested a driver Friday morning.
On Friday September 25, 2020, shortly after 4:00 a.m., officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision. Officers located the vehicle on the Millennium Trail west of Bloomfield. As the result of further investigation, the driver was arrested and taken to thedetachment for testing. Jacob Boone, age 18 from Prince Edward County, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The driver was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on October 21, 2020. The driver was also given a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
