A citizens’ group hopes to take the Township of Stone Mills to court over a proposed industrial hog farm to be located near the village of Erinsville, west of Tamworth.
The Concerned Citizens for our Community Environments Inc. (CCCE) maintains the local council has consistently refused to consider public health and safety, particularily when it comes to water supply and nearby lakes.
In May, Township of Stone Mills council approved a Site Plan Control Application for the hog farm.

To date there has been no response from the township.
