Lennox and Addington OPP discovered guns and more after stopping a speeding vehicle in Greater Napanee Thursday.
Police stopped a vehicle going west on Highway 401 near the Greater Napanee exit around 1 p.m. Thursday. Upon further investigation officers discovered a prohibited firearm as well as stolen credit cards and cash.
Police have charged 33-year-old Trivin Tyrone Leacock of Toronto with:
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Transport firearm in a careless manner
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Possession of Firearm or ammunition contrary to a Prohibition order – three counts
- Possession of Credit Card obtained by crime – five counts
- Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
- Drive motor vehicle with Cannabis readily available contrary to the Cannabis Control Act
Leacock will appear in court in Greater Napanee on September 18.
