Another person has announced they intend to run to be the Conservative candidate in Bay of Quinte riding in the next federal election.
Tim Durkin, who ran for the Conservatives in the last election tells Quinte News that as of now he intends to run again.
In 2019 Durkin, who works for Quinte Broadcasting and Quinte News, lost to Liberal Neil Ellis by around 1,000 votes.
Durkin says he and his party aren’t happy with how the Liberals have handled the pandemic and how they’ve been giving away taxpayers money to their friends.
Durkin also says he believes Erin O’Toole will be a strong leader with a focus on protecting people’s freedom to live their lives as they wish.
Durkin, born and raised in the Quinte region, says he has a passion for helping and making a difference and intends to stay and his raise his family here.
Earlier this week financial advisor and former member of Centre Hastings council Shelby Kramp-Neuman announced that she will run to be the Conservative candidate in Bay of Quinte.
