A boil water advisory is still in effect along Loyalist Parkway in Picton.
The watermain has been fixed and services affected by the interruption last Wednesday have been restored. The boil advisory will be in effect until bacteria tests show the water is safe.
The affected areas are:
– All services on Loyalist Parkway from the intersection of Picton Main Street, Talbot Street and Lake Street at the LCBO and up to but not including the Mobil gas station on Loyalist Parkway.
– All services on Henry Street, Roger Street, Rosemary Court, Rosemary Lane and Cold Storage Road.
– All services on the west side of Talbot Street from the intersection of Picton Main Street to Curtis Street.
To ensure safe drinking water it is recommended that it be brought to a full boil for at least one minute before domestic use. Once the advisory is lifted it is recommended that people in the affected areas flush the plumbing with cold water using the taps.
If anyone experiences coloured water it is recommended that users flush the colour out using the tap nearest to the water meter with cold tap water.
