Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre in Cobourg is moving its “Walk a mile” event online.
The event will be held on Saturday Sept. 26 and encourages people to collect monetary pledges and to get out and walk to raise money to fight family violence.
There is a $20 registration fee for adults and a $10 fee for people under 18. Material for collecting pledges will be distributed to participants including red heels typically worn by the walkers at the event.
Anyone participating in the event is encouraged to take pictures or videos of their walks, to put them on social media, tag Cornerstone and to use the hashtag #mywalkmyway.
