Belleville Police Service responded to 67 calls for service from August 4, 2020 at 5 a.m. to August 5, 2020 at 5 a.m.
Theft
On August 4, 2020 at 10 p.m., police responded to a theft call in the east end of the city. Witnesses called in a theft in progress and officers located the male suspect in the area. An investigation ensued resulting in the arrest of 41-year-old Belleville man Joseph Stacey. He was arrested for Theft Under $5000 and transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was released on an Undertaking, given a Court date of August 27, 2020 to answer to the charge.
