The Special Investigations Unit is investigating after an assault in Greater Napanee on Monday.
Frontenac OPP say they began an investigation into an assault involving a 52-year-old man that occurred on the previous day.
Lennox and Addington OPP attended Green Road in Greater Napanee as part of the follow up investigation and a confrontation took place between the man and police.
The man was subsequently injured and taken to hospital.
The SIU has invoked their mandate and the OPP are unable to provide any further information.
