Belleville police and the local animal control officer continue to investigate an incident involving a large dog and a child yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
Officers responded to an area around Pine Street around 4:30 after a disturbance caused by a dog biting a six-year-old boy.
The boy suffered a large wound to his back and on his forehead and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police say the dog’s owner lost control of it leading to the attack.
