Quinte Conservation is making it easier to get up-to-date information on water levels on the major lakes and rivers within its watershed.
The environmental protection agency has launched a new website that shows real-time water level data gathered from its own hydrometric gauging stations, as well as those operated by Environment Canada and its partners.
Water Resources Manager Christine McClure says information on the site will help residents to get more insight on watershed conditions and statements connected to flood and low water notifications.
QC was able to use some money granted through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and put the program together as part of its ongoing Drought Management Project.
