As summer lockdown continues at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, Belleville residents will have an opportunity to enjoy a long list of free programs through a local YouTube channel on the internet.
The Sports and Wellness Centre, in COVID-19 lockdown for the last four months, is offering a long list of free virtual programs.
They range from speakers, crafts for seniors and children, science experiments.
There’s a trivia challenge, brain games, cooking classes and fitness.
They are all offered free on Zoom.
Anyone without internet access will be given a conference call phone number.
Director of Recreation, Culture and Community Services Mark Fluhrer tells Quinte News the Sports Centre is preparing for an eventual full opening, but that depends on the province, local public health and City of Belleville decisions.
If you have questions or concerns, you can contact the Recreation, Culture & Community Services Department at rccsgeneral@belleville.ca or call 613-966-4632.
Updates will continue to be posted on the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre website at www.qswc.ca and through social media.
