Some staff working in Quinte Health Care hospitals will see a bump in pay sometime next month.
At a meeting of QHC’s Board of Directors Tuesday, President and CEO Mary Clare Egberts said special pandemic pay is on the way.
However, she acknowledged some of the staff are frustrated because they won’t be receiving any extra pay.
“The pandemic pay is coming from the provincial government and the government has been very clear as to which jobs will be eligible for the extra money. I don’t blame some staff for being frustrated and feeling hard done by but we as an organization must follow provincial government directions on this.”
