A former Belleville native, and long time staff member at Quinte Broadcasting is lucky to have his home, after a massive fire in Hamilton overnight.
Tyler Rogers is a graduate of Moira Secondary and Loyalist College, and moved to the Hamilton suburb of Stoney Creek in 2003.
He lives just four doors down from the fire that destroyed about 11 homes on Eden Rock Drive.
He says he is thankful his daughter was not home at the time.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the blaze is unknown at this time. Heavy wind played a major role in the heavy damage.
Rogers worked for Quinte Broadcasting from 1999-2009.
