The provincial Rural Economic Development Fund is committing $255,000 to support six local projects in Hastings-Lennox and Addington.
MPP Daryl Kramp says the money will be used in Bancroft, to make preparations for the Wheels, Water and Wings Motorcycle Rally ($27,213.20) and to help the town develop a strategic plan for the next 5-10 years ($54,617.40).
There’s also some cash going to the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board to help implement the next phase of their marketing program ($100,000), the County of Hastings to develop a new brand strategy ($30,000) and the Bancroft Flying Club, for a strategic economic development plan ($10,368).
In total, the RED Fund is dishing out $3.3 million towards 58 projects across Ontario.
