Along with helping local residents get through illness, injury and the pandemic, a team of doctors at Trenton Memorial Hospital is also helping to address food insecurity in the area.
Emergency Physicians at TMH have made a collective donation of $10,000 to the Trenton Care and Share Food Bank as a thank you to the community for its support during the COVID-19 crisis.
The group is acknowledging the “tremendous effort put forth by the community to support frontline health care workers” by doing things like donating PPE, practising social distancing, wearing masks and more.
Quinte Health Care’s Chief of Emergency Medicine Dr. Al Bell says, “It’s been inspiring to see how the community has rallied around TMH and we hope the donation can serve as a demonstration of our overwhelming gratitude.”
