There’s speculation there was a brief but powerful wind event, or microburst in Quinte West caused by the heat and humidity early last night (Thursday).
A hydro pole came down on Marmora Street in Trenton around 6 o’clock.
Hydro One crews were making repairs overnight and into this morning.
Meanwhile, fire dispatchers say around the same time there was a flurry of calls regarding trees being knocked down in the same area.
The event was over quickly and there were no injuries.
