Customer Relations Coordinator Tracey Newton tells Quinte News, “The survey went out to all our clients in the past few weeks asking them where they were at, in terms of us reopening our programs and our rentals and services back at the centre, for a time when we are actually able to reopen. The survey questions included, are you coming back? do you rent with us?”
She says, “We got some really interesting responses. What we’re hoping to do is, any plans that we are developing we would incorporate the customers’ feedback into that. We are developing plans and programs that the clients actually want and need. There are a lot of considerations regarding reopening once the province allows it.”
Newton adds, “Right now there are a lot of guidelines that come out about reopening for any business, including municipalities. What our guiding principal has always been is, we will reopen when it’s safe to do so for the public, client and staff. The idea is to make people feel as comfortable as possible when they come back to the centre.”
She continued, “We’re looking at, obviously, staging our different activities but really right now with the stages that have been opened up you can’t open up in this area right now. We haven’t opened up anything in our facility and at this time the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre remains closed. No date has been set for reopening.”
Meanwhile, the city has established a cooling centre to run at various times at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
